Strongly inspired by the 1998 Nike Mercurial Vapor boots, the new Nike Mercurial Superfly Heritage iD cleats feature an all-over print on the upper. A bold Nike Swoosh is present on the outside of the Nike Mercurial Superfly Heritage football boots, while a smaller one can be seen on the inside rear. The heightened collar and the sole plate are black across all variants of the new Nike Mercurial Superfly IV Heritage iD soccer boots. The classic 1998 Mercurial design is available for the Nike Mercurial Superfly iD in four different variations. First, there is the silver, yellow and blue paint job worn by Ronaldo at the '98 World Cup. Additionally, there are black and blue and black and white versions that derive from the original, as well as a white and "Volt" one which is designed to offer a modern twist on the style.
While their draws inspiration from a classic piece of footwear, the new Nike iD Mercurial Superfly Heritage soccer cleats bring all the tech features of contemporary Mercurials. They have a heightened Dynamic Fit collar for a sock-like fit, while the upper is made of responsive Flyknit material. The carbon-fiber sole plate of the Nike Mercurial Superfly IV offers lightweight speed and traction through a setup of bladed studs.
